Volunteers are an enormous asset to our city farm, and we truly couldn’t meet our mission without them. From planting and harvesting, to weeding and field preparation, volunteers are often needed. Our volunteer experience includes education on what we do as an organization, growing tour, how your help contributes to our mission, and various garden lessons as we do the work of farming.
Our volunteer schedule is Saturday 9 - 11am or 12pm from April to November. (Contact us via email to confirm afternoon time.) Some Sundays and weekdays based on farm needs - Wednesday at 6:00pm - to confirm, email me. We would love to welcome all ages to volunteer, visit, and learn with us. However, we are a working farm and it’s important to note that most farm tasks are not appropriate for children under 5 years old. Young children can observe and help however must be closely monitor by their parent and/or guardian because they are unable and may no fully participate in volunteer work. Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent, guardian, or adult group leader.
Interested in getting your hands dirty? Please read through our Volunteer Information Sheet and our Work Expectation Summary to learn more about our volunteer operation before signing up.
