Inner Beauty

What Do You See?

When you look into the mirror, do you like what you see?   When you think of yourself, do you like what you know about yourself?  Do you value someone else opinion of you more than you value your own opinion of yourself?  These are questions we all need to ask ourselves.

My story:  I cut my hair recently and in having a conversation with a coworker, it reminded me of a belief that I had from childhood.  She thought my behaviors would change  because I had a youthful and jazzes hairstyle said I may become more risky.

I asked her, what do you see when you look out of your eyes and can not see any part of your body.  She thought I was referring to myself as in what do she see when she sees me.  So I clarified my question and provided her with my reality.  Question: When you look out of your eyes and can see no part of your body nor see your reflection in a mirror.  You then have a real since of yourself.  My Reality: When you only see the world around, the essence of who you are is within.  It is your moral compass, it is that mental picture of who you are, and it should govern how you live your life.

Youth Message: We can not let our appearance govern our actions and especially our love for ourselves. Our young ladies and young men need to know this for themselves because they are living their lives though other people's eyes and have not connected to and understand their own inner beauty.
